I saw this “tag” on a very old Lily Melrose video and thought it might be an interesting one to try out (and an easy way to get back into writing). This is mostly a trip down “What did I listen to as a teenager and never really move on from?” lane, because I am stuck in 2007.
I’m a wee bit late with my goals, but I’ve started working towards them already, I promise! I have never been great at sticking to my goals, but if I don’t even try I never will be right? Every little helps (…is what I tell myself as I fail every single one of them by a mile)
I’ve popped together 9 things I want to work on this year. I’d love it if I could ‘achieve’ them by the end of the year, but if I’m still working on them by the time 2018 then I’m not going to beat myself up about it. They’re generally just things that will improve my day-to-day life, but a few will help me out in the future too!
After I turned 20 I wrote a 21 before 21 list and although I didn’t complete them all, I put a fair bit of effort in. And as I turn 22 today I thought it would be a good idea to do it again, but with bigger goals (and a bigger time time frame) and hopefully actually complete it this time!
Last year was a very ‘blah’ year for me, so this year I wanted to take steps to make 2015 a bit more memorable. I’ve started putting effort into noticing little every-day things that make me happy, and to comply with one of my 2015 resolutions, been taking a whole load more photographs. Here is a glimpse of what my February looked like!
Valentines day is always so centred on couples expressing their loves for one and other, and while I’m all for that, I also think we should all express some self love this valentines day (ooer! Not like that you dirtys).
It’s difficult and I’m still working hard at it, but learning to love myself is something I’m paying attention to a lot this year, so I thought I’d share a bit about what I’ve learned so far so you too can be your own valentine:
